Dedicated to the first worldwide hit in 5/4 - Take Five, Gimme Five! uses a rhythm that is identical to the classic jazz hit. It also reflects the semi-modal approached used by saxophonist Paul Desmond when he performed one of the few jazz melodies that is instantly recognisable.
